The Department of Management Studies, IIT Delhi is backed by the brand "IIT" which signifies the quality of education imparted to the students who have made it to the place after being screened on various aspects through a gruelling selection procedure.
Apart from academics, the we students at DMS, IIT Delhi are involved in variuos extra curricular activities. Almost every student is involved in one or the othe live-projects with the industry. We participate in business festivals, business-plan contests and other events across different b-schools in the country and have won many prizes in the past.
We have some of best known professor in the academic world sharing thir knowledge with us. We have Prof. Vinayshil Gautam (Founder Director IIM Khozikode, Founder HOD DMS IIT Delhi), Prof. S.S. Yadav (Current HOD, DMS, IIT Delhi), Prof. P.K. Jain (Professor of Finance), Prof. D.K. Banwet (Prof. of Operations Management), Prof. M.Y.Khan (Visiting faculty DMS IIT Delhi, Former Professor of Finance Deptt. of Financial Studies University of Delhi) to name a few.
The department boasts of having an excellent research base. The quality of research done by the faculty and students in unmatched by any other B-schools in the country. The nubmer of research articles published across various international and national journals is phenomenal. The department produces more number of PHDs than any other IIT or other B-school in the country.

BII Itinerary
Building India Inc. is a two day event at DMS, IIT Delhi. At BII, veterans from the industry and eminent personalities including politicians come together to deliberate on challenges the nation is facing, and how we can overcome them. Aim of BII-to portray Superbrand India as the most powerful brand in the coming future.

It gives us immense pleasure to invite you to BUILDING INDIA INC. (BII) – 2008, the Annual National Business Summit organized by the Department of Management Studies (DMS), IIT Delhi. BII is known for raising topics of contemporary relevance and is an attempt to bring together the corporate, government and the academia to deliberate on issues and challenges facing the nation and share experiences and views with the larger audience.
“A very young nation, a booming economy, a constant will to be the best.“ - this is what characterises India today. A brand new India - “Super Brand India” is the theme for this year. It is really a matter of true amazement that an “Elephant” of India’s magnitude and as variegated as a kaleidoscope can actually dance as Lou Gerstner puts it.
Indian companies are getting recognition all over the world for their visionary leadership but a lot needs to be done. An unmatched human capital, the burgeoning consumer markets, the emergence of a strong services sector present boundless opportunities. However India needs to tackle some of the challenges like poor infrastructure, declining growth rate of agriculture/ food security, rising inflation, surge in imports and ensuring inclusive all-round sustainable development.
We seek this platform Building India Inc. 2008 to deliberate on the issues concerning to emergence of India as a global player and suggest scenarios and alternative growth paths.
